ACCOMMODATION

All delegations will be accommodated in the 4*star Hotel International in twin en-suite rooms.

There will be one wheelchair accessible room available to book for showers at reception.

RESTRICTED AREAS

Access to restricted areas is limited to authorised personnel only and in accordance with the WorldBoccia Boccia Rules. Authorised personnel are only granted access if they wear their appropriate Accreditation Card in a visible place.

Sports Information Desk  

Access to the Information Desk is restricted to the Team Manager or designated person. The sports information desk will be located at the Venue.

Competition Office  

Access to the Competition Secretariat Office is restricted to HOC and BISFed Boccia officials. All enquiries should be addressed to the Information desk.  

MEALS

First Meal Provided – Dinner on the day of arrival

Last Meal Provided – Breakfast on the day of departure. Breakfast and dinner will be served in the hotel, and lunch will be served at the venue.

The competition schedule will not include lunch breaks, so lunch will be served over a long enough period to allow everyone to eat during the day.

Each country is responsible for advising the HOC of any special dietary requirements as part of the final entry.

TRANSPORT

At arrival and departure, the HOC will ensure transportation for all delegations and officials from Zagreb Airport to the Hotel and from the Hotel to the Airport.

During the competition, the HOC will ensure transportation on the route Hotel—Venue—Hotel. A detailed schedule of transportation will be available in the hotel lobby and at the venue's information desk.

PARKING

For those who come with their own transport, we recommend checking into the hotel, leaving all your stuff in the hotel room, and then driving to the venue.

WEATHER

Check the weather in Zagreb on the official MetOffice website.

CURRENCY

The currency of Croatia is the Euro.

INSURANCE AND MEDICAL

Each team must attend the Event with their own medical and travel insurance to cover loss of property, injuries or medical treatment, travel disruption or luggage loss.

The emergency number is 112.  

WorldBoccia and the HOC will accept no responsibility for injuries or loss of wages due to injuries.

The nearest Hospitals with Emergency Services are KBC Sestre Milosrdnice, Vinogradska Cesta 29 (1,9km from the venue) and KB Sveti Duh, ulica Sveti Duh 64 (2,4km from the venue). There will be a First Aid provision at the venue.

COMPETITION GUIDE

ACCREDITATION

Team Leaders will collect Accreditations for all their team members at the Hotel desk.

OPENING CEREMONY

The opening ceremony will take place in the Venue on the 8th of April at 5:30 pm.

MEDAL CEREMONY

The Medal Ceremony for Individuals will take place in the venue on April 11th, shortly after the last matches.

The Medal Ceremony for Teams and Pairs will take place in the venue on April 13th, shortly after the last matches.

CLOSING CEREMONY

The closing Ceremony will take place at the Venue on the 13th of April after the Medal Ceremony.

TECHNICAL MEETINGS

The technical meeting will take place on April 8 at 8:00 p.m. in the hotel. (Team managers will be informed via WhatsApp what room, floor, etc.)

The Schedule for the First Competition Day will be available online shortly after the Technical Meeting.

RULES

The competition will be conducted in accordance with the BISFed International Boccia Rules as published on the WorldBoccia website.

Entry to the Warm-up Courts, Call Room and Field of Play will be restricted per the rules.

DOPING CONTROL

Doping control will take place at the competition.

COMPETITOR NUMBER (BIB)

Upon confirmation of classification, each athlete BC1 and BC3 will be given 4 competitor numbers and each Athlete BC2 and BC4 will be given 2 competitor numbers.  

  • One of the pieces must be worn by an Athlete at all times during the hours of competition. The competitor number must be affixed on the front of the shirt or the trouser leg.  The assistants of BC1 and BC3 Athletes will have their competitor number affixed where visible according the Rules.  

  • The other competitor numbers are a spare copy.

If an athlete forgets, loses or chooses not to wear their competitor number, they will not be permitted to enter the warm-up area, the Call Room or the field of play.  

UNIFORM COLOUR

A list of every team uniform colour will be distributed during the technical meeting. After the final schedule is finished, the TD will revise it and identify the matches with possible colour clash.

On matches where the colour clash is identified the lower ranked side will be instructed by the TD to change to an alternate uniform colour.

Jackets of a different colour will be allowed, as long as the Bib Number is visible, and the correct shirt colour underneath.
